If
you are interested owning a book that has 260 photographs of vintage snowmobiles
that were primarily sold to consumers like you and I during the golden years of
snowmobiling from 1968-1982 then you came to the right website.
Having just completed my first book on vintage snowmobile collectibles - named Vintage Snowmobilia, I determined that the snowmobile collector base was lacking a pictorial book that encompassed many of the different brands and models of snowmobiles that were produced from 1968 to 1982. While there have been books published on several popular still in existence brands, and vintage racing, nothing had been published on consumer snowmobiles that graced the snow covered trails in the early years of snowmobiling’s Golden Years.
After two years of attending vintage snowmobile shows and events through out the Midwest I felt I had compiled enough photographs to start this book and was ready to move forward with its publication.
The Golden Age of snowmobile manufacturing was from 1968-1976 with a gradual slow down leading to 1982. During this time literally hundreds of snowmobile manufacturers sprung up and then disappeared. This book is a look at many of the most interesting, rare, or collectible snowmobiles from that time period. The big names like Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo, Yamaha, John Deere, Scorpion, Snow-Jet, Mercury, Rupp, Moto-Ski, to the many small-company brands like Allied, Boa Ski, Chaparral, Evinrude, Harley Davidson, Johnson, Polaron, Sears, Skiroule, Sno Prince, Viking and many more are pictured. The book also has a chapter of collectible racing snowmobiles and a tutorial on how to go about finding your favorite vintage snowmobile. Format: Softbound 8.5x11 size.
